CHAPTER II
“You must… believe.”
My early years of grade school are earmarked by multiple transitions between places that my family and I called home.
At the heart of these major shifts, my grandparents evidently became the anchor that stabilized my family. Especially during periods of great uncertainty, which also led to my sisters’ encouraged attention of, and that of my own, anything and everything related to school.
Though my grandmother never attended university, she was an avid reader. And she introduced her love of mythology to me around first grade, and subsequently, granted my present love of everything to do with myths and history!
So here are some of my absolute favorite highlights before middle school:

- An everlasting adoration for the cosmos and natural order of life.
- Tales and legends about Mt. Olympus.
- Epics and stories from Meso-america.
- The Periodic Table of Elements.
- Acute love for color, dance, and music.
